Terms

Updated 7 October 2026

Lexspar is in preview. These terms keep it fair and safe while it grows.

Who can use Lexspar

You must be 18 or older. One person, one account: don't share it, and keep access to the email or Apple or Google account you sign in with.

Playing fair

You can block anyone, and report a player, club or question from the app. Reports go to a person, never decide a result on their own, and the player isn't told who reported them. We may hold rewards while we look into unusual results, remove ratings or rewards earned unfairly, and suspend accounts that keep breaking these rules.

Ratings, coins and items

Arena rating and rank measure ranked results, not English ability. The vocabulary estimate on your profile (such as B1) is an estimate from your practice in Lexspar, not a CEFR level, an exam result or a certificate. Coins, career XP, medals, mission rewards and companions are earned in the app, have no cash value, can't be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged, and buy only cosmetic items that never affect duels. We may rebalance prices and rewards during the preview; items you already own stay yours. Certificates record that you completed a Lexspar path; they aren't CEFR certificates, exam results or proof of identity.

The preview

Questions are demonstration content awaiting editorial review. Starting points describe vocabulary practice, not an English proficiency certification. Features may change, pause or be removed while we learn what works. There are no purchases with money, rewards with cash value, or wagering.

Your content and ours

Your progress and profile are yours; you can export or delete them at any time. The Lexspar app, questions, design and name belong to Lexspar. Companion characters are from page-mascot by Kamran Ahmed under the MIT licence.

Ending things

You can delete your account in the app whenever you like. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you why when we can.

No guarantees

Lexspar is provided as it is during the preview, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
